If you need a new website or it’s time to migrate away from a hosting account that’s not performing the way it used to – SiteGround is a good option, especially if you use or plan on using WordPress.

Creating a new account with SiteGround is actually quite easy. Just follow these simple steps and you will have your new hosting account in a matter of minutes.
Step 1 – Select Hosting Type
Visit SiteGround @ www.siteGround.com
Select the account type you want to setup. Aside from the Cloud Hosting, there really isn’t much difference and the pricing is the same.
Step 2 – Select Your Plan
For most people Grow Big is an acceptable option. While the startup is cheaper, its truly only suited for an extremely small website that isn’t updated frequently and doesn’t receive a lot of traffic.
If you are running an active eCommerce, WordPress or WordPress Multi-Site website the GoGeek plan is the right choice due to it’s versatility and allotted resources.
Click on the Get Plan button under the option that is right for you.
Step 3 – Select Your Domain Name
At this point, you can either register a new domain name or choose to use one you already own. If you choose to register a new domain name, you may want to consider doing it with a registrar instead of a hosting company like SiteGround.
Some popular Registrars include:
If you are supplying an existing domain name simply type in the name and extension in the text field and click “Proceed”
Step 4 – Create Your Account
Enter your email address and create a password – your email address will be your SiteGround username.
Then fill in your “Client Information”. The address should match your method of payment’s billing address.
Step 5 – Enter Your Payment Information
Step 6 – Verify Details and Place Order
Select the time period you want to sign up for; the discount percentage won’t increase if you signup for more than one year but it will reduce your costs for up to three years.
Under extra services, you can choose to include the SG Site Scanner but it’s not necessary as there are many plugins available to protect, scan and harden your site.
Click Pay Now and your account is setup in a matter of minutes
Step 7 – What To Do Next
If you used a domain you already own to create your account, log into your SiteGround account from their homepage and go to the “My Accounts” tab, then click on the “Information and Settings” tab.
On the page that loads, you will see a heading “Account DNS”. Use this information to update the name servers with your domain registrar and your website should be live withing 24 hours.
If you registered a new domain or have already updated your DNS, you can click on the red “Go To cPanel” button where you will find options to setup your WordPress website, activate CloudFlare, Configure email addresses, install SSL Certificates with Let’s Encrypt, and much more..
